Premiere Events is pleased to advise the Austin, Bryan-College Station, and Woodlands Events Communities that, effective January 6th, 2025, Premiere Events acquired Brighter Side Event Lighting and its business assets. Benji Stevens, Brighter Side Principal, joined the Premiere Events Team as the Brighter Side Event Lighting Division Manager. This transaction would not have been possible without Benji’s expertise, experience, and stellar reputation for honesty, integrity and commitment.

Brighter Side Event Lighting was founded in August, 2017, by Benji and Leia Stevens, two events industry pros with experience in the event lighting industry and a passion for focusing on the Brighter Side of life. In the intervening years, Brighter Side built its business on three core values: Service Excellence; Product Quality, and Affordability. Brighter Side survived COVID and flourished through the industry recovery. But in late 2023, and throughout much of 2024, Benji experienced health-related issues . . . issues that the company simply could not overcome alone.

By mere happenstance, Premiere Events was perusing Event Lighting websites one 2024 mid-December Saturday afternoon, and came across Brighter Side. Premiere’s ownership fortuitously discovered the company’s impending closure announcement. Premiere had offered basic event lighting services, but Premiere’s founders, Richard and Delores Crum, had always wanted to provide event holders more expansive and illuminating lighting options and alternatives. Sensing an opportunity to establish a mutually beneficial, symbiotic relationship that would offer a lighting product and service advantage to Brighter Side, Premiere, and the events community as well, Delores contacted Benji. On January 6th, 2025, the ‘short but sweet’ journey toward a new Brighter Side vision culminated in the establishment of Brighter Side Event Lighting as a Division of Premiere Events.

Brighter Side Event Lighting will proudly and actively meet event lighting needs and fulfill event lighting wishes throughout Central Texas. Seasoned event professionals and event-industry novices alike will find ‘brighter’ lighting solutions and illuminating ideas at Brighter Side.
